Terms of Service
Last updated 6 September 2026. These terms cover your use of Whittly, operated by Korel.
1. What Whittly does
Whittly takes a video you provide, transcribes it, selects moments from it, and renders those moments as short clips sized for social platforms. You can download the results or, where you have connected an account, publish them.
2. Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
3. Your content stays yours
You keep every right you already had in the videos you upload and in the clipsWhittly produces from them. We claim no ownership.
You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your video, process it, and generate clips from it. That permission ends when you delete the material or close your account.
4. What you must not upload
You confirm that you have the right to use the videos you upload. Do not use Whittly to process:
- Material you do not own or have permission to use.
- Content that is unlawful where you or we are.
- Content sexualising minors, or depicting real violence against people.
- Recordings of people made without a consent you were required to obtain.
We may suspend an account that breaches this, and we will tell you why when we do.
5. Publishing to other platforms
Where you connect an account, Whittly posts only what you explicitly send from the editor. We never post on your behalf otherwise. Each platform has its own rules, and its decisions about your content are its own.
You can disconnect an account at any time from Settings.
6. AI-generated output
Clip selection, captions and drafted text are produced by machine learning models. They will sometimes be wrong: a transcript can mis-hear a word, a selected moment can miss the point, a caption can misstate what was said.
Check anything before you publish it. You are responsible for what you post.
7. Paying for Whittly
Prices are on the pricing page. Paid plans renew each month until you cancel.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns.
Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
We may change prices. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email before a change affects them, and can cancel before it takes effect.
8. Availability
We work to keep Whittly running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. We may change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something you are paying for, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of the period.
9. Ending it
You can stop at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law.
On closure we delete your uploads and rendered clips. Say so and we will do it sooner.
10. Liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Whittly after that means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [Your jurisdiction], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
